Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)
The Community Health Needs Assessment is a key tool used by Riverside Health to determine its community benefit plan, which outlines how it will give back to the community in the form of health care and other community services to address unfulfilled community health needs.
The assessment consist of primary data collection and secondary data analysis that emphasis on the health and social needs of the service area.
We make these documents available to comply with the Internal Revenue Service and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax law requirements section 501(r), which requires hospital facilities owned and operated by an organization described in Code section 501(c)(3) to conduct a CHNA once every three years.
