For the fourth consecutive year, Riverside Health System has been named one of “America’s Best-In-State Employers in Virginia” by Forbes Magazine.
“We are incredibly honored to be recognized among the best employers in Virginia,” says Bill Downey, Chief Executive Officer for Riverside Health System. “This recognition is a celebration of the 9,500+ team members across Riverside who are dedicated to caring for those across the communities we serve.”
Forbes partnered with Statista, a market research company, and surveyed 70,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees. All the surveys were anonymous and were based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. The final list ranks the 1,382 employers that received the greatest number of recommendations in each of the 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia.

Riverside is consistently exploring initiatives to enhance both the professional and personal lives of team members. Over the past year, Riverside has committed to supporting team members by investing an additional $20 million to increase team member compensation along with a recognition bonus of up to $1,500 for working through COVID-19. In addition, programs through Riverside College of Health Careers, Riverside Emerging Leaders Academy, and continuing education offerings to support professional development efforts for team members across Riverside.
