An exercise program to help improve the symptoms of Parkinson's disease

Approved by Riverside physicians and therapists, and led by an exercise specialist, Maintaining Movement is designed to help fight the symptoms of Parkinson's disease with movement.

This comprehensive program is offered at both fitness center locations.

Schedule

Peninsula:
Classes are ongoing and held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon.

Middle Peninsula:
Classes are ongoing and held on Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Williamsburg:
Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in an 8-week series for $120.

How it Works

The Maintaining Movement program incorporates techniques that have been proven to delay or reduce Parkinson's disease symptoms from occurring throughout the day.

What to Expect:

  • Classes include short bursts of high-intensity, circuit-style moves.
