Athletic Trainer

SARA MEYER, ATC, LAT

Sara graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training and holds a Master of Science in sports medicine from the University of Colorado.
Before joining Riverside, Sara spent two years as an assistant athletic trainer at Campbellsville University in Kentucky, where she was assigned to cover men’s and women’s cross country, swimming and women's wrestling. The women's wrestling team won two national championships while under Sara's care.

Sara’s specialties include concussion evaluation and manual therapy in instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release, massage, cupping and lymphatic drainage. Believing that movement is medicine, she embraces her specialty’s growing value in healthcare and its diversity of patients.

After growing up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sara is happily tackling new ocean activities such as surfing, kayaking and paddle boarding, while running during her lunch breaks to help train for half-marathons. She is married to an officer in the Navy and together they take care of a very active German shepherd puppy.
