Common Sports Injuries
Riverside Health Systems Sports Medicine specialists believe the best treatment is prevention. But when you find yourself injured, getting care right away is key.
To help you better understand some common sports injuries we’ve seen from athletes throughout Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg and the greater Hampton Roads region, we’ve compiled a list of common injuries by sport. We also have a list of injuries by where it hurts. These lists will help you navigate the vast array of sports medicine information available across the internet.
This list doesn’t include every injury that may occur while engaging in physical activity or sport. Rather, we built this resource for educational purposes only to help you identify the most common injuries you may face while participating in your sport. Please contact Riverside Health Systems Sports Medicine health professionals for all your athletic injury needs.
