Overview

The goal of this neck surgery is to remove a damaged or herniated disc and replace it with an artificial cervical disc. The artificial disc simulates normal disc motion which preserve the range of motion of the spinal column.  

Unlike the ACCF and ACDF procedures, there is no spinal fusion or joining of the bones in this surgery.
