Eric joined Riverside as a Staff Physical Therapist in 2018.
Eric graduated from James Madison with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology and continued his education at Hampton University where he received his Doctorate degree of Physical Therapy.
Eric’s clinical interests include exercise promotion and fall prevention. Eric has lectured in the community and on Facebook live to help educate patients on preventing falls.
When Eric isn’t in the clinic, he enjoys lifting weights, Bible study and being outdoors.
Katy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and continued her education at Old Dominion University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Katy has over 5 years of experience in outpatient and acute care. She recently began pursing Certified Health Coach credentials. Her current role is working with patients inside the hospital including those with total joint replacements and strokes.
When Katy isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys running obscenely long distances, lifting weights, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with her cat.
Nicole graduated Cum Laude from Ithaca College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Science/Physical Therapy and continued her education at Ithaca College where she received her Master’s and Doctorate degree of Physical Therapy.
Nicole has over 10 years of clinical experience and has advanced training in McKenzie’s Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy and Manual Therapy through Great Lakes Seminars. She is a Certified Performance Specialist through Mike Reinold’s Champion Performance Company. In addition, her clinical interests include treating orthopedic injuries and chronic pain.
When Nicole isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Kim made the Dean’s List as she graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and continued her education at Old Dominion University where she received her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
Kim has over 17 years of clinical experience and has advanced training in Geriatric treatment and Manual Therapy Techniques through Great Lake Seminars. In addition, her clinical interests include treating patients in the acute care and outpatient setting; from teenagers into the older population.
When Kim isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and 2 dogs. She also enjoys being at the beach and spending time with family and friends.
Dustin earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech, then continued his education at Emory & Henry College earning a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Dustin’s clinical interests include orthopedics, sports medicine and treating the older populations.
When Dustin isn’t in the clinic, he enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing and playing with his dog, Chase.
Renée earned Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology from Old Dominion University, then continued her education at Tidewater Community College, earning an Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assisting, graduating with Cum Laude honors.
Renée has over 10 years of clinical experience and has advanced training in McKenzie’s Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, Kinesio Taping, as well as Manual Therapy through Great Lakes Seminars. Her clinical interests include treating orthopedic patients and athletes.
When Renee isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family. You can often find them camping, kayaking, or at the baseball field.
Wendy graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s Degree and continued her education at TCC where she graduated Physical Therapy Assisting School.
Wendy has over 5 years of clinical experience and has advanced training in Manual Therapy through Great Lakes Seminars. Her clinical interests include Manual Therapy and working with the older population.
When Wendy isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys outdoor adventures and travel.
Melinda graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and continued her education at TCC where she graduated Physical Therapy Assisting School with Cum Laude honors.
Melinda has over 15 years of clinical experience and has advanced training in Manual Therapy treatment through Great Lakes Seminars. Her clinical interests include treating Total Knee Replacements patients and orthopedic injuries.
When Melinda isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and boating.
Barbara graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting and Broadcast Journalism and continued her education at University of Hawaii where she received her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.
Barbara has over 15 years of clinical experience and holds advanced certifications in LSVT, Vital stim, SpeakOut!, and ILP clinician. In addition, her clinical interests include treating the older population, dysphagia and aphasia, motor speech disorders and cognitive communication impairments. Barbara routinely administers videofluoroscopy (MBSS) for swallowing assessment at the Riverside Walter Reed Hospital and she has advanced training for speech and swallowing therapy as well as application of speaking valves such as Passy Muir Speaking Valve for ventilator/tracheostomy patients.
When Barbara isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys traveling.
