Virtual Expectant Parent Tours

Riverside is proud to offer virtual Expectant Parent Tours each month on alternating Tuesday evenings and on one Saturday morning. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to have your questions answered regarding having your baby at Riverside.
 
Using Zoom, parents-to-be can preview the birthing suites, postpartum rooms, and NICU at Riverside Regional Medical Center from the safety of their home. During the virtual tour, you will have the opportunity to have your questions answered regarding having your baby at Riverside.
 
Registration is required, and you can do so by clicking the yellow Register Now button to the right.
 
Please register for a date and provide your email address. As the tour appointment approaches, you will receive an email with instructions for this virtual tour. Tours are offered on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm and on Saturday mornings from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Family Infant CPR Class

It's unlikely the need for performing CPR would arise, but if it did you would want to know exactly what to do. This class will share how to recognize the need for CPR and basic CPR will be presented. No certification will be provided.

Classes will be held on one Saturday each month from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Your instructor will meet you in the Tower Entrance Lobby and escort you to the classroom.

Classes are held at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, VA in the WICU Classroom on the 2nd floor of the Tower Entrance.

Registration is required. To register, click on the yellow REGISTER NOW button to the right and complete the form. Be sure to include your email address so that information can be shared with you relating to the class.

Attendance is limited to the expectant mother and 1 additional adult, therefore ONLY the expectant mother needs to register for this course. Registration will close once we have reached capacity.

The Adaptable Mind: Tools for Clear Thinking, Lasting Memory, and Meaningful Connections

Join us for The Adaptable Mind, a supportive and informative workshop designed for individuals living with brain change and their care partners. This session focuses on practical tools and strategies to promote clearer thinking, strengthen memory, and foster meaningful connections in everyday life.

Co-presented by Riverside Speech Therapists Lisa Edwards and Tayler Stanley Crowley, the workshop will offer guidance, encouragement, and hands-on techniques that participants can begin using right away. Together, we’ll explore ways to adapt to changes, build on strengths, and enhance communication and connection at home and in the community.
