Virtual Childbirth Preparation Classes

Riverside is proud to offer Virtual Childbirth Preparation Classes. Using Zoom, Mom-to-be and her partner or support person can explore the many choices available to make their birth experience personal and positive. These include comprehensive information on pregnancy, labor, and birth, as well as relaxation and breathing techniques, all from the safety of your home. 
 
Registration is required. This program is a series of four classes.
 
When registering, please provide an email address and instructions for virtually joining the class will be sent to you.  To register, click the yellow REGISTER NOW button to the right.
 
The December series dates are 12/5, 12/12, 12/15 and 12/19 .

In-Person Expectant Parents Hospital Tour

Riverside is proud to offer in-person Expectant Parent Hospital Tours two Tuesday evenings and one Saturday morning each month.
 
During the tour, parents-to-be can preview the birthing suites and postpartum rooms in our Women and Infant Care Unit at Riverside Regional Medical Center. On the tour, you will have the opportunity to have your questions answered regarding having your baby at Riverside.
 
Attendance is limited to the expectant mother and 1 additional person, therefore ONLY the expectant mother needs to register for this tour. Registration will close once we have reached capacity.
 
Registration is required. Click the yellow "Register Now" button to the right to register for the tour. Please be sure to provide your email address. As the tour appointment approaches, you will receive an email with instructions for the tour.  
 
In-person tours are given on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and on one Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. each month.

Friends and Family Infant CPR Class

It's unlikely the need would arise, but if it did you would want to know exactly what to do. This class is designed for parents, grandparents, family members, friends and anyone else who might be caring for your baby. This class will share how to recognize the need for CPR and basic CPR will be presented. No certification will be provided.

Classes will be held on one Saturday each month from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Your instructor will meet you in the Tower Entrance Lobby and escort you to the classroom.

WICU Classroom on 2nd floor of the Tower Entrance

Parkinson's Community Sing-Along

Join us for a Community Sing-Along for people living with Parkinson's disease. Using your voice while having fun and making friends!

Event takes place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month beginning April 23, 2024
Time: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Community group sessions to keep your voice strong through singing. Hosted by The Martha W. Goodson Center & Riverside Therapy Group.

  • All voices and abilities are welcome
  • No singing experience required
  • Space is limited to 15 people, care partners are welcome
  • Participating in the chorus is free of charge
