About Vasudev Grama Ananthram, MD
Dr. Ananthram earned his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in Bangalore, India. He then came to the US and completed his residency in internal medicine at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, where he also served as chief resident. He then went on to do fellowships in heart failure at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and in cardiovascular disease at Wayne State University/ Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Ananthram is triple board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease as well as in advanced heart failure. In addition he also holds certifications by the Board of Nuclear Cardiology, National Board of Echocardiography and Board of Vascular Medicine. He is also a Certified Cardiac Device specialist with expertise in management of pacemakers and defibrillators.
Besides expertise in diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases he also performs diagnostic cardiac heart catheterization, transesophageal echo and permanent pacemaker implantation.
Above all Dr. Ananthram has a passion for prevention of disease and strongly believes and champions healthy eating, exercise and stress management as the foundation for good health.
Dr. Ananthram is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is an active member of the medical staff at Riverside Doctor's Hospital in Williamsburg and Riverside Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Ananthram enjoys long bike rides, yoga and other fitness exercises. Above all he likes to spend quality time with his wife and two daughters.
