About Torry Miquel Pledger, MD

Torry Pledger, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician specializing in obesity, women’s health and sports medicine concerns, such as fractures and sprains. He has experience treating patients of every age. He is passionate about keeping people healthy and active. 

Dr. Pledger began his educational journey with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland in College Park and a master’s degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. He completed a medical degree from the Saint James School of Medicine in Anguilla and a family medicine residency at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. 

Along with practicing medicine, Dr. Pledger enjoys being outdoors and participating in sports such as basketball, golf and cycling. Growing up in a military family, he has spent time all over the world and appreciates exploring our local Virginia waterways and finding new fishing spots.
