About Susan Melissa Coxson, CNM

Susan M. Coxson, APRN, CNM, is a certified nurse midwife specializing in gynecology, pregnancy, prenatal care, labor, delivery and postnatal care.   

Susan earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. She then completed a Master of Science through the Nurse-Midwifery Program at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. 

Susan empowers and supports women in all stages of their lives, partnering with them in their health care. She is compassionate and takes pride in providing science-based, non-judgmental care.  

As a former Navy service member, Susan appreciates the Hampton Roads community.  She loves the area’s rich culture and history. When she’s not at work, Susan spends time with her family hiking, canoeing, kayaking and traveling.
