About Prakash Mohan Kafle, MD

Dr. Kafle earned his medical degree from Rajshahi Medical College in Bangladesh in 2002. He completed an internal medicine residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, Pennsylvania, followed by fellowshiptraining in infectious disease at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Kafle is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and infectious disease.

Dr. Kafle joins us from Essentia Health in North Dakota. In addition to his practice there, he was active in community awareness efforts to prevent infectious disease and served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of North Dakota. Finding it incredibly rewarding tocure and prevent many infections, Dr. Kafle sees medical practice as a special privilege. His mission is to go above and beyond to help his patients, treating them the way he would like to be treated.

Born and raised in Nepal, Dr. Kafle thoroughly enjoys the weather in Hampton Roads. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife,Monika, and their two children, in addition to biking and learning new cultures.
