About Nadia Christine Shockley, MD

 

Dr. Shockley attended the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and remained to serve her internship. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at Emory University.

She is Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In addition to medical ophthalmology, Dr. Shockley performs in-office plastic surgery as well as laser treatments, and offers Botox and Juvaderm treatments that help revitalize patients' appearance.

Dr. Shockley was very knowledgeable and personable. Although she was not my regular ophthalmologist, she had completely familiarized herself with my case by the time she saw me. She was able to quickly size up what was happening with my vision and offer an immediate solution. Within hours, my vision was better than it had been in several weeks.

Dr Shockley provided excellent care to me and treated her patients with respect and empathy. I witnessed her helping one of the patients by carrying her coat and waited patiently for her to walk to the exam room.

The doctor was incredibly rushed and it felt like I was interrupting her day even though I had an appointment (had been scheduled for over a week). When I asked a question about a procedure she mentioned, she seemed annoyed and responded "it's exactly what I just said it was"

Dr. Shockley was condescending, rushing, rude and pompous at my appointment. Seemed to show little care or concern to my questions and seemed to brush my previous eye injury off. Told her I had problems when I slept on one side and she told me to not sleep on that side in an incredibly rude tone. I will not be returning to riverside health systems because of her attitude and lack of empathy for her patients.

Dr Shockley came and chatted with me while I was waiting for my eyes to dilate. I appreciate her professionalism, and care and concern for my eye health. She also takes time to inquire about me personally. I have moved to [...] this fall and will continue to some to see Dr Shockley.
