About Lydia Jesunathadas Cote, PA-C

Lydia J. Cote, PA-C, is a neurosurgical physician assistant specializing in caring for cranial and spinal surgery patients, degenerative spine disease, traumatic brain injury and spine injury. She uses research-backed techniques to help patients heal, recover and return to an active life.   

Lydia earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies and her Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior to her time in Virginia, she worked as a physician assistant in South Carolina.  

Providing comprehensive and compassionate care is important to Lydia. Her philosophy is to treat patients as if they are her own family.  

When she’s not at work, Lydia enjoys staying active and spending time with her family. She is originally from India and grew up in Alabama. She is looking forward to discovering all the activities our community has to offer.
