About Lindsay Elizabeth Borden, MD

Lindsay Borden, M.D., is a fellowship-trained gynecologic oncology surgeon, board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Borden specializes in treating gynecologic cancers with robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Her experience includes treating endometrial, ovarian, cervical and vulvar cancers. Dr. Borden values a collaborative approach, working closely with various care team members to provide the best experience for her patients.   

Dr. Borden earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and completed an OB-GYN residency at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke. She completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Oklahoma Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City. She received recognition throughout her training for her excellence in patient care, teaching and research.   

Dr. Borden has a special interest in the role genetics plays in endometrial cancer risk and recurrence. She enjoys using her teaching and research experience to provide compassionate care using the latest medical advances. To ensure her patients feel comfortable with their diagnosis and treatment plan, Dr. Borden encourages them to ask questions, providing them with valuable information and empowering them to participate in their care.  

Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Borden now resides in Virginia with her family. She enjoys hiking, exploring local beaches and reading great books.
