About Edward Chu, MD
Dr. Chu received his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from Brown University in Providence, RI. Subsequently, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, and the University of California in San Francisco, CA. He served in the US Army Medical Corp and was honorably discharged in 1997 as a Lieutenant Colonel. Dr. Chu continues to serve in the capacity as the Cardiovascular-Pulmonary Service line Chief with Riverside Health system since 2009.
Dr. Chu is Board Certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, with additional certification in interventional cardiology and echocardiography. He is a registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. He has been practicing cardiology since 1993 and has lived in Virginia since 1997. Dr. Chu's current practice includes non-invasive, invasive, and interventional cardiology. His professional interests include graduate medical education with residencies at Riverside Regional Medical Center and medical students.
Dr. Chu has interests in teaching, physical fitness, hiking, traveling and volunteering with a local Scout Troop in Yorktown, VA.
