About Christina Jackson Williams, WHNP

Christina J. Williams, WHNP-BC, is a women’s health nurse practitioner. She specializes in caring for women from adolescence through menopause, including contraception counseling, pregnancy, breastfeeding and menopause symptom management.

Christina earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Virginia and her Master of Science in nursing at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She is board certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner by the National Certification Corporation (NCC).

Christina chose to specialize in women’s health so she could provide a space for women, who are traditionally caregivers, to care for themselves. She believes in building trusting relationships, shared decision making and helping her patients reach their health goals.

Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She is a native of Virginia and appreciates the area’s beaches, hiking trails and local markets.

Everyone was really nice and they doctor explained everything to me twice because I had a blank look on my face. Very happy employee. Do you know what that tells me about them that they like their job?

Dr. Williams has been great. She has taken a lot of precautions due to my medical history, given me options to think about, and explained all benefits and risks. She has worked with me on my medication dosages to help with my anxiety and answered all my questions which put me at ease.

After discussing the plan during the appointment, after completion of my lab results, instead of receiving a phone call or thorough communication, I received an uninformative two sentence message via the MyChart app 20 minutes prior to close on a Friday. While I was initially quite pleased with the services I received during the appointment, the follow up communication has been distant and lacking.

During visits I was told one thing then for my follow up nothing discussed previously was handled. Stated my fears of having another large baby and how traumatic last pregnancy was. [...]
