About Christina Michelle Ancheta, FNP

Christina Ancheta is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Old Dominion University and her Master of Science degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. 

Due to her experience as a cardiac nurse for many years, Christina naturally transitioned to a cardiology specialty as a nurse practitioner. She believes that having a healthy heart begins with being well-informed and being your own advocate. Her goal is to encourage commitment and compliance with a patient’s plan of care by providing education and support to patients and their family members. As each patient has unique challenges and circumstances, she believes it is important to get to know her patients to plan the best treatment options for their individual situation.

Christina was born in San Diego and grew up in the Philippines. At age 17, she moved to Virginia and has been here ever since. She loves the small town feel in Hampton Roads. She is married with a young adult daughter. She has a dog and a cat that are both rescues, as well as a beta fish. Christina enjoys reading suspense fiction novels and loves to hike. She collects indoor and outdoor house plants, which she propagates and shares with family and friends.
