About Andrea ‘Andi’ Miller, CNM, FNP-BC

Originally from Lexington, Virginia, Andi is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Family Nurse Practitioner with years of experience caring for mothers and babies during pregnancy, labor and delivery and postpartum. Andi earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from California State University and Master of Science in nursing from Vanderbilt University.

In 2020, Andi bravely tended to an influx of patients as part of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Adult COVID-19 Response Team. Before that, she cared for mothers and babies in various practices across California and Nevada. Her interest in midwifery began in 2012, when Andi began volunteering as a doula at the University of California San Diego. There, she worked with a team of midwives to inform and support underprivileged women during and after childbirth.

Central to Andi’s patient-centric philosophy is the belief that patients should be fully informed during each visit, partnering with every patient to promote the best outcomes for them and their families. She specializes in trauma-informed care—a compassionate, inclusive approach that seeks to strengthen trust and engagement with healthcare providers by considering each patient’s unique background.

Outside of nursing, Andi’s talents include playing the piano and cello. She has enjoyed exploring the area through hiking, trying new restaurants and going to concerts.
