About Rafic H. Zaitoun, MD

Dr. Zaitoun completed his undergraduate degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Subsequently, he completed his medical degree, internship, residency, and fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the Medical College of Virginia. He completed an interventional cardiovascular fellowship at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Dr. Zaitoun is Board Certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. He has been practicing cardiology since 1990. Dr. Zaitoun's current practice includes non-invasive, invasive, and interventional cardiology, including peripheral interventions.

This was my first visit with Dr Zaitoun but he was completely familiar with my medical history including all relevant tests. He guided me throughout our discussion and answered my questions in language that I could understand. He explained a course of action to support the best possible resolution of my medical problem. He then accompanied me to the scheduler to ensure the necessary test results will also be available to the surgical team that will perform an unrelated operation under general anesthesia later this month. In short, Dr Zaitoun showed how much he cared about my health every step of the way.

Met with Dr. R. Zaitoun, cardiac interventionalist [...]. He read my [...] cardiac reports, asked pertinent questions in the context of those reports, and listened to my concerns/goals in an effort to improve my cardiac heath. I have read his detailed notes emphasizing what we discussed I have been diagnosed with CAD; I am considering several interventional methods (possibly catheter w/flow testing), but we are now awaiting for clarification from another cardiac physician (within the Riverside system) on the most beneficial way forward.

The care, which my mom received at the doctors appointment was very good. It was handled very directly. They were looking out for my moms best interest. They provided me with information and the point where my mother was admitted into the hospital they are caring and very concerned and I want to thank them.

I understand the doctors have days when they're a little off. However, and the length of time that I've been with Dr Z., He is getting progressively worse. I'm sorry to say that but I have to be true to my feelings and words.
