The Crabb family

Riverside College of Health Careers is proud to honor our graduates, especially when multiple family members join the extensive RCHC alumni class.

We caught up with Caitlin Crabb, alumna of our Professional Nursing day division program, class of 2014, as she attended her mother’s graduation in May 2021 from our Radiologic Technology program. Caitlin’s sister, Alyssa, also graduated from the Professional Nursing program in 2014.

In asking what brought Caitlin to the college, it's clear Riverside is truly a family affair.

"I remember I was attending James Madison University studying to be a veterinarian and I decided to change course after talking with my older sister Ashley, who graduated in 2011 from the RCHC Professional Nursing program," Caitlin remarked.

Caitlin and Ashley raved about the extensive clinical experience offered to them as nursing students saying, "The clinical situations and instructions really prepared us as new graduates in the field."

After Caitlin graduated from RCHC, she worked at Riverside Regional Medical Center in med-surg and the oncology ICU departments for about three years. She is currently back in school working on her MSN to become a Nurse Practitioner.
