Partial Hospitalization Program Provides Comprehensive Day Treatment for Mental Health Conditions

As part of the continuum of care for managing mental health issues, Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center (RMHRC) now offers a partial hospitalization program, also known as a PHP. This community-based approach provides day treatment at RMHRC, which creates a unique opportunity to ensure the support of an entire team of clinical professionals.

Through this program, you can focus on learning how to maintain healthy lifestyles and manage symptoms related to mental health and well-being in a consistent, highly structured setting for optimal outcomes. In addition to in-person care, RMHRC also offers virtual and hybrid treatment options for patients who qualify.

Clinical Excellence through Nationally Recognized Standards of Care, Personalized for You

RMHRC patients receive exceptional care through a range of treatment offerings across our comprehensive array of services, all of which are grounded in evidence-based practices. Starting with our comprehensive assessment process, our therapists work with each person to identify individual needs, goals and barriers so that our team can recommend the best possible treatment plan in every case.

In all phases of care, we emphasize continuous progress, eventually stepping down to less frequent outpatient care. Our goal is your goal — to achieve success at every level in your journey to wellness.

Understanding Riverside’s Mental Health Partial Hospitalization Program

Riverside’s partial hospitalization program for mental health is an outpatient day treatment program offered in a hospital setting that gives you access to an entire hospital-based system of care. Treatment and therapy services, as well as education and support, are provided by our PHP team, which includes:

• Licensed Therapists & License-Eligible Therapists
• Art & Recreation Therapists
• Case Managers
• Dietitians
• Peer Recovery Specialists
• Pharmacists
• Psychiatric Providers
• Nursing Support
• Spiritual Professionals

A general PHP care plan consists of six hours of daily treatment across five days each week, including a weekly provider visit with either a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner or doctor, as well as weekly individual sessions, group therapy time and lunch each day. This structured schedule fosters a safe, supportive environment in which you can feel at home and able to focus on getting well.

Through this program, you can learn new coping skills and how to use them away from the hospital setting as you continue to work toward healthy lifestyle goals. Just like any chronic medical condition, treatment plans and medications are carefully monitored and may need to be adjusted. Clinical treatments and care plans are updated weekly, with patient input, and if any adjustments are needed, they are handled in real time.

Riverside follows a holistic approach to mental health care — caring for the whole person and integrating care steps that improve well-being. Because our PHP provides patients with the tools needed for success outside the hospital setting, members of your support system may be involved in your treatment one day a week as a part of the healing process.

You Can Count on Our Riverside Team
