Nicole Baker, PT, DPT

Clinical Coordinator

Nicole received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, close to her hometown in Allen, Maryland. She has also earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Towson University in Maryland, where she graduated cum laude. She relocated to the Hampton Roads area in 2018 with her husband in order to join the Riverside team.

Nicole has special interests in postoperative rehabilitation, ankle dysfunctions and working with individuals who have neurological disorders, including dizziness and impaired balance. Nicole works closely with Dr. Robyn Vargo, orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon, to enhance collaborative patient care within the Riverside system and establish postoperative protocols to maximize functional improvements following surgery.

Nicole is adept at fitting patients with low-cost Vasyli semi-custom orthotics/shoe inserts to address their individual needs and activity level. In 2019, she completed specialty training for vestibular rehabilitation to address a shortage of providers in the area.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys trips to the beach with her family, reading and volunteering. Nicole was a student-athlete all throughout high school and now enjoys yoga in her free time.

Kelly Saunders

Physical Therapist Assistant

Kelly is a proud graduate of the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Riverside College of Health Careers. Since graduating in 2020, she has worked under the Riverside umbrella both in the Lifelong Health and outpatient settings. Kelly has a passion for helping others based upon her own experience with the work of physical therapists. Her passion leads her to strongly pursue furthering her education in the field of physical therapy to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Kelly especially enjoys working with orthopedic and geriatric patient populations. When not working, Kelly enjoys spending time with family, camping, listening to music, reading and hanging out with friends.

Lesley Skarosi

Physical Therapist 

Lesley joined the Riverside therapy team in 2022 and is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with distinction from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. She then received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, Florida, graduating with honors.

With over 20 years as a physical therapist, Lesley has had the opportunity to practice in multiple states and therapy settings including outpatient, skilled nursing, home health and acute care. Lesley has special interests in manual therapy, balance training and therapy for the geriatric population. Lesley is dedicated to helping her patients improve so that they can live their best life.

Outside of work, Lesley enjoys spending time with her husband, three kids and two dogs, as well as reading and practicing reformer-based Pilates.
