Kacey attended Radford University for both her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise, Sports, and Health Education and her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She is currently a doctoral student with Marymount University to achieve her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy. Having gained an interest in outpatient, orthopedic therapy early in her career, Kacey became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2019.

With a focus in orthopedic occupational therapy and post-operative rehabilitation, she helps patients return to desired activities by applying a variety of therapeutic techniques to include: wound care, custom orthosis fabrication, manual therapy techniques, and custom exercise programs. Kacey collaborates closely with Riverside's hand surgeons and other providers, crafting and personalizing treatment plans to guide optimal patient outcomes. Often the most fulfilling for Kacey is participating in the patient's therapeutic journey as they improve or regain the use of their hand, which can progress from extremely limited to near pre-injury or pre-condition functionality.

A Hampton Roads native, Kacey lives in Williamsburg with her husband and son, a city they love to explore. When she's away from her therapy table, Kacey enjoys camping, outdoor activities, paddle boarding, hiking, and walking her two Labrador retrievers.
