About Michelle Renee DiPasquale, AGACNP
After receiving an Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing from the Medical Careers Institute in 2010, Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2015. She went on to earn a Master of Science in nursing from Duke University in 2019. Michelle is board-certified as an adult geriatric acute care nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Michelle gained extensive experience as a registered nurse in hospice and inpatient acute-care settings before advancing her training to become a nurse practitioner. She enjoys the holistic nature of gastroenterology and the opportunity to support patients as they navigate through the physical and emotional aspects of gastrointestinal symptoms.
A firm believer in open, honest communication, Michelle also values patient autonomy, empowered decision-making and strong family involvement if that is what the patient desires. In order to deliver high-quality, holistic care, she focuses on knowing her patients’ long-term goals and understanding what quality of life means to them.
Michelle grew up in Newport News and still enjoys the area’s proximity to outdoor activities by the water or even the mountains, as well as historic sites. Her favorite pastimes include hiking, biking, reading, learning new languages and cooking Indian and vegetarian dishes with her husband. The couple welcomed their first child in 2020.
