About Lauren F. Scott, FNP

Lauren Scott, FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in neurosurgery and wound care.

Lauren graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Science in nursing in 2011 and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She began her career as a family nurse practitioner at a primary care and internal medicine practice in Fredericksburg. Over the last decade, her experience as a nurse practitioner has included providing occupational health and wellness care for federal law enforcement agencies, vascular surgery and advanced wound care.

Lauren’s practice philosophy is to be open and honest, caring for patients as she would her own friends and family. She believes that having the opportunity to positively impact patients as a member of their healthcare team is both a blessing and honor. Her goal is to educate patients and their families, while working together to determine the best treatment plan for each individual.

Originally from Fredericksburg, she has lived all over the country as her husband is active duty Air Force. In Hampton Roads, Lauren is happy to be closer to family and friends and enjoys the proximity to both the ocean and the mountains. She and her husband have two children and two dogs. Lauren enjoys working out, traveling, walking her dogs and reading.
