About Jonathan Michael Sardina, DO

Dr. Sardina is a board-certified internal medicine physician who especially enjoys educating patients about obesity and the impact successful treatment can have on diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

After completing a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Sardina served as an internal medicine resident at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, as an internal medicine staff physician at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune and as internal medicine division head at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.  He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Sardina chose internal medicine because of the opportunity to treat a broad variety of conditions. His areas of special interest include treating diabetes mellitus, hypertension, obesity, hyperlipidemia, fatty liver, COPD, pulmonary embolism and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders.

Dr. Sardina considers others to be more valuable than himself and strives to always treat others the way he would want to be treated. He strives to be patient, kind and treat others with respect while also telling the truth to his patients and their families.

He enjoys the rural aspects of Hampton Roads and loves the water and close access to the Chesapeake Bay. He is married with six children.
