About Jennifer Lynn Johnson, DO

Jennifer L. Johnson, D.O., is an obstetrician-gynecologist interested in prenatal and postpartum care, lactation support and mental health during pregnancy. Dr. Johnson enjoys discussing how a person's lifestyle choices impact their health. She’s also passionate about caring for expectant parents.

Dr. Johnson earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University–Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship and residency training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York. Dr. Johnson is board certified in lifestyle medicine and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

As a physician, Dr. Johnson incorporates the physical, emotional and social elements of care in every interaction. She listens to each person’s concerns and works to find answers to every question. Dr. Johnson calls it an honor to care for people in our community.

Outside work, Dr. Johnson enjoys practicing yoga, baking healthy treats, reading crime fiction, sewing and hiking with her dog. She is a wife and mom who loves Virginia’s fall weather and its proximity to the beach.
