About Jacob Buote, MD

Jacob Buote, M.D., is an obstetrics and gynecology physician who specializes in women’s health including contraception, family planning, sexual health, prenatal care, gender-affirming care and menopause. He is honored to care for women throughout the stages of their lives. 

Dr. Buote earned his medical degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Before his medical training, he earned a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Buote is board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  

Born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dr. Buote enjoys our coastal Virginia community. When he’s not at work, he stays active by weight training, traveling, camping, snowboarding and bowling.
