About Ilene Forrest Stephan, MD

Dr. Ilene Stephan graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where she also completed residency training. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Stephan joined the radiation oncology group from a Riverside internal medicine practice. What she brings to oncology is more comprehensive follow-up care needed by some patients after radiation treatment--a uniquedifferentiator for an oncology practice. To support improved continuity of care, Dr. Stephan sees patients six weeks after their final radiation treatment and at regular intervals afterwards if needed. Dr. Stephan’s goal is tohelp patients navigate the transition from cancer patient to cancer survivor.

Originally from Poquoson, Virginia, Dr. Stephan enjoys spending time on the water with her family. She and her husband have three teenage children.
