Riverside Walter Reed Hospital (RWRH) is pleased to announce it has achieved the redesignation of Pathway to Excellence® by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). RWRH earned the redesignation, after first being awarded in 2014.
Pathway to Excellence® certifies the organization provides and nurtures the foundation of a healthy workplace for nursing team members. The designation is open to acute and long-term care organizations within the United States and internationally and RWRH is one of 204 designated worldwide.
“RWRH nurses have utilized the ANCC Pathway framework to elevate standards, foster resilience and prevent stress and burnout,” Williams notes. “Ultimately, this ensures a practice environment where our nurses are supported, engaged, empowered and heard, which protects, promotes and improves health care for all.”
Riverside’s other acute care facilities including Riverside Regional Medical Center (RRMC), Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg (RDHW), and Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital (RSMH), currently have their Pathway to Excellence® designation and are seeking redesignation in the coming years.
