Gloucester, Va. — Riverside Health System has welcomed Mary E. Adams, AGPCNP-BC, to its internal medicine practices in Gloucester and Mathews – Internal Medicine Associates of Gloucester and Riverside Mathews Medical Center.
Board-certified as an adult-gerontology primary nurse care practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, Adams chose her specialty because she is passionate in caring for adult patients, especially older adults. By establishing relationships with patients, she partners with them to achieve better health outcomes.
Adams has a special interest in health promotion and healthy lifestyles along with the treatment of hypertension and diabetes. She favors a team approach to empower her patients to manage chronic conditions and maintain their health in order to live long, happy lives.
After receiving an Associate of Science in Nursing from Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan, Adams earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan.
