NEWPORT NEWS, Va. January 2018 – Nurse.org, the web’s leading career site for nurses, has recognized Riverside Regional Medical Center one of the best hospitals for nurses to work for in Virginia for 2017. The rankings reflect analysis of more than 1,800 surveys of nurses from 314 hospitals across the state.
From 2015 to 2017, Nurse.org collected feedback from some 1,853 nurses across Virginia to compile their report. The ranking order is based on the average rating and the percentage of nurses who would recommend their hospital.
Riverside Regional Medical Center was one of 17 hospitals to make the rankings, placing it in the top five percent of hospitals statewide. It was one of only five hospitals in the rankings to earn a 95 percent recommended or higher rating by employed nurses.
"Pay, co-workers, patient population, updated facility, scheduling. As a whole Riverside Regional Medical Center is a great place to learn in a professional and cohesive environment," read one of the reviews featured on Riverside’s profile page on Nurse.org.
Another reviewer cited support from hospital administration in their recommendation.
“Riverside offers competitive pay. Riverside Regional Medical Center is in a good location. Good administration that makes you feel supported and heard when issues arise," the review stated.
