Riverside Health System is pleased to announce that Clinical Pharmacist Jennifer Purdy, PharmD, BCACP, BCGP, was recently honored with an Excellence in Innovation Award from the Virginia Pharmacists Association (VPhA).
Purdy was one of 10 award recipients who were honored during the VPhA 138th Annual Convention in Virginia Beach. Each year, the VPhA recognizes individual members for their personal and professional achievements.
Demonstrating a true commitment to innovation, Purdy was acknowledged for experimenting with different models of care at Riverside Medical Group over the last several years to advance the group’s ambulatory pharmacy practice.
She also played an instrumental role in in the heart failure clinic at Riverside Regional Medical Center and has driven positive outcomes in Riverside’s risk-based payer agreement initiatives.
VPhA was founded in 1881 and serves as the voice of the profession of pharmacy throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Its mission is to assure the viability and vitality of the profession by advocating for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in legislative, regulatory and public affairs.
