Riverside Receives Generous Donation from Auxiliary in Honor of Dr Lloyd J Kellam III

The Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Auxiliary presented a $200,000 gift to the Riverside Foundation for the heart services suite at the new hospital.  This gift was directed to Riverside Shore Memorial Auxiliary by Caramine Kellam from the E. Polk Kellam Foundation Fund I at the Hampton Roads Community Foundation.

Cardiologist Dr. Lloyd J. Kellam, III has been caring for patients on the Shore for nearly 30 years, and this gift is in honor of his commitment to the Eastern Shore community.

The Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has provided outstanding service and exemplary dedication to the Eastern Shore community through its work to support the hospital and its patients, physicians and staff.  Further, the Auxiliary has been and continues to be an integral part of the hospital’s expansion of services and most recently this generous gift to help build and equip the suite in the new hospital that will house its heart services.

"Our Auxilians work tirelessly to support the community by supporting the great work of RSMH,” stated Jane Bulette, President of the Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and hospital Board Member.  “No one better exemplifies Riverside's mission to care for others as he would care for those he loves than Dr. Lloyd J. Kellam, III.  We wanted to honor his dedication with a gift to the new hospital, and we are so grateful to Caramine Kellam for helping us to achieve our fundraising goal with the addition of this exceptional gift.  Caramine's dedication to our local hospital rivals that of Dr. Kellam!"
