For the third consecutive year, as part of the Subaru Loves to Care program, messages of hope for cancer patients were written by visitors to Subaru retailers.

The inspirational messages, along with 80 soft blankets, were delivered to the Riverside Shore Cancer Center in Onancock to be given out to patients. The blankets help keep patients – who are often chilly due to their treatment – warm as they continue their fight against cancer.

“Riverside appreciates the support of Buchanan Subaru in Pocomoke as well as LLS,” said Bev Bowden, Director of the Riverside Shore Cancer Center. “This is such a thoughtful way to bring warmth and comfort to a patient at a difficult time, and our patients tell us that it is gratifying to know that there is a whole community rooting for them.”

Message writers received a reusable tote bag to help spread awareness of LLS and Subaru’s goal to provide hope and care, one gesture at a time.

LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout their decades-long history, funding breakthrough research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures, and providing support and advocacy for patients.
