Thank you for your interest in our program. After decades of hosting students, our own rotating interns and emergency medicine residents from a neighboring Emergency Medicine program, we are very excited to be able to train our own emergency medicine residents and look forward to welcoming you into our professional family here in coastal Virginia!
The Riverside Regional Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency program is affiliated with Virginia Commonwealth University. It will provide an exceptional educational and practice environment that gives residents the skills, experiences and mentoring needed to learn and practice every aspect of emergency medicine and to prepare them for successful ABEM certification and lifelong learning. Residents who complete the program will be competent to independently practice the specialty of emergency medicine in any environment and will be prepared to pursue any specialty area of emergency medicine.
Riverside's mission is "to care for others as we would care for those we love - to enhance their well - being and improve their health." The institutional values of patient-centered care, teamwork, professionalism, patient safety and a commitment to excellence in health care delivery to our community will be emphasized in clinical practice as well as included in the didactic and experiential curriculum.
Please contact us if you have questions about this exciting experience.
