Richard Slama, M.D.
Director, Ultrasound Fellowship
Dr. Slama is a EUFAC fellowship trained and board-certified emergency physician. He graduated medical school from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and completed his emergency medicine residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. His Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship was completed at the Riverside Regional Medical Center.. His research interests include regional anesthesia, ultrasound, and vascular emergencies. His clinical interests include pain relief via regional anesthesia, ultrasound-based resuscitation of the critically ill, and ultrasound guided procedures. Outside of the clinical setting he enjoys time with his family, working out, hiking, and traveling.
