Riverside Policies

The PGY-1 Community Residency program’s policies abide by the requirements set by both Riverside Health System and the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists. These policies will be accessible to the resident via PharmAcademic and can also be viewed here.

Requirements for Completion of Residency

A residency certificate is awarded upon the successful completion of all residency requirements. Requirements for completion of the residency program will include:

  • State licensure
  • Successful completion of the goals and objectives of the program as defined:
    • Obtaining a level of “achieved” for at least 75% of the evaluated goals and objectives of the program
  • Completion of major project including submission of manuscript
  • Completion of staffing requirements
  • Participation in a medication-use evaluation
  • Completion of projects assigned by preceptors and residency staff including (but not limited to):
    • Drug monograph
    • Presentation of research project at ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Pharmacy Residency Regional Conference or equivalent state or national conference
