Network Engineer - Telephony (Newport News, Va)

Job Summary: Reports to the Telecommunication Manager. Job Duties include: Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprisewide voice technologies. This includes phone systems, voice mail applications, unified communications, CTI and call center applications, along with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of communications hardware and voice circuits as well as project management of telecom initiatives and support of peripheral systems.

Education: Bachelor's degree in communications engineering, electrical engineering, or related field is strongly preferred.

Certifications: Must possess or demonstrate work experience using at least 1 of the following certifications: Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist, Avaya Certified support Specialist, or Avaya Certified Solutions Specialist in the areas of CallPilot, CS1000, Call Center, Messaging, Session Manager, Contact Center, equivalent Telecom/Nortel, or Cisco Certifications.

Experience/ Responsibilities:

Must have 3-5 years of relevant telecommunications experience or 7 years of general experience.

General understanding of Avaya Communications Manager, CS1k, CMS, Messaging, System/Session mgr, CCE, WFO, and other enterprise telephony applications.

General understanding of VOIP protocols and network integrations including IP and SIP trunking.

Understanding of Quality of Service, Vlans, and DHCP

Understanding of telecommunications protocols including ISDN, Analog, Digital, VoIP, SIP, H323, TCP/IP, IP codecs

Knowledge of designing and maintaining routine ACDs, Vectors, VDNs, and call routing.

Understanding of data technologies such as QoS, routing, switching, DHCP

Understanding of VoWifi integration, and standards.

Plan, design, implement and support standard Telecom solutions.

Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external IT partners.

Team Lead Informatics Pharmacist (Added 2 days ago) (Newport News, Va)

The Team Lead is responsible for the coordination of the design, build, test, validation and implementation and ongoing maintenance of the respective iCare application(s). This individual must have broad knowledge of application integration, data/work flow, and clinical/business process to ensure the successful integration betweenpractice and the relevant iCare application.The Team Lead coordinates the work of the team which may encompass multiple applications throughout the project life cycle (design, implementation, and long-term support).As a team lead, this individual will provide expert and innovative solutions to end user requirements. This individual takes the initiative to research, resolve, and respond to inquiries during the deployment and on-going support phases of the project.

The Team Lead coordinates with other iCare Team leads, application managers, analysts and trainers to translate clinical and business needs into EMR functionality in a manner consistent with project timelines and budgets.

The Team Lead must have excellent communication skills in sharing information with fellow team members as well as interacting with clinical, operations, and administrative staff, at all levels of the organization. Strong organizational skills, key attention to detail and ability to respond professionally to urgent changes that impact Patient Safety, Quality, or other federal / regulatory requirements is required.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.

Certification/ Licensure Requirements: Licensed as a Pharmacist in the state of Virginia or compact designation. Relevant Epic certifications; Willow and/or Beacon required.

Experience Requirements: 5 years of progressive healthcare industry experience preferably in an Integrated Delivery Network in clinical care, operations or IT system support is required. 2 yeas of hands-on Epic clinical systems experience with appropriate Epic Training and certifications in at least one application area required. 5 years of experience of Inpatient or Retail Pharmacist experience is preferred. 7 years of progressive healthcare (Integrated Delivery System) experience in clinical or operations setting, IT system development or deployment, experience as a clinical analyst, business analyst, systems or financial analyst is preferred.

iCare Principal Trainer (Epic) (Newport News, Va)

Job Summary: The Epic Principal Trainer works under the supervision of the Epic Training Manager. This individual is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the Epic Training Environment, training materials and methods for clinical and non-clinical end users. This individual is responsible for achieving an in-depth understanding of the Epic application, policies and procedures and workflows for the respective area. This individual must have the ability to understand and translate the functionality of the Epic application configuration and workflow into the Epic training environment and class room presentations. Key attention to detail, quality control, and ongoing evaluation of training materials / sessions is required. The Epic Principal Trainer works collaboratively with the Epic Project team (application analysts, Project Managers) to ensure that training materials are developed and maintained to support project goals and time lines. The Principal trainer must have excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills as well as the ability to effectively interact will all levels of the organization. Roles and Responsibilities: Administering training sessions including, attendance, proficiency assessment and class evaluation at the end of each session, escalating issues and improvement ideas to Training Manager. Develops and implements credentialed training programs and materials to support users of the Epic Application. Develops and maintains the Master training environment for the respective application, including any system enhancements, upgrades etc. Thorough knowledge of the of the clinical information systems as they relate to both physicians and clinical staff Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvement in support of Epic training initiatives.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred. Relevant Epic Certification(s) to be obtained. Completion required as defined in Epic Implementation Timeline.

Certification/Licensure Requirements: Existing Epic Certification(s) in relevant application preferred. RN/LPN license in the state of Virginia or compact state preferred.

Experience Requirements: 3 years classroom, online, 1:1 training preferred. 3 or more years healthcare or clinical setting, experience with adult learning methodology and/or instructional design preferred. Strong presentation, people and communication skills. Highly organized and ability to effectively adapt to a changing curriculum. Experience with OpTime highly desired.
