Epic Applications Analyst (Newport News, Va)

Job Summary: The role is responsible for developing the respective Epic application(s) by investigating, analyzing and documenting current and future state processes to ensure the successful integration between clinical/business practice and the relevant Epic application. The analyst fulfills multiple roles throughout the project life cycle (design, implementation, and long term support) by gaining comprehensive knowledge of the Epic software as well as hospital / medical center / physician practice operations and workflows. The analyst coordinates all issues that arise during the project for their respective application, And must be knowledgeable about RHS policies, procedures and business operations. The analyst works closely with other Epic application analysts, project managers, trainers to translate clinical and business needs into EMR functionality in a manner consistent with project timelines and budgets. The analyst must have excellent communication skills in sharing information with fellow team members as well as interacting with clinical, operations, and administrative staff to ascertain specific application requirements. Key attention to detail and ability to respond professionally to urgent changes that impact Patient Safety, Quality, or other federal / regulatory requirements is required.The analyst : -Actively participates as part of a team in system configuration, on-going maintenance / process improvement, change documentation, and training staff on application functionality.- Works independently in completing project task as part of the project implementation, including building / testing of system components, documentation of workflows, building of data sets, master files and reports, performs quality assurance and integrated testing on new releases / upgrades.- Develops report specifications and works closely with report writers to ensure operational and regulatory reporting needs are met including reports necessary to comply with Federal and Regulatory requirements (Meaningful Use, CMS Sore Measures, etc) - Receptive to business needs expressed by customers (Clinicians, Providers, Administration, Operations) and clearly documents system capability and constraints. - Works with all clinical, business and IT constituents in a positive, supportive and collaborative team manner. The analyst provides 24/7 on call support on a rotating basis for application issue resolution.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Required or 8+ years of progressive healthcare experience. Program of Study Health Care Administration, Clinical Information Systems. Informatics, Information Technology or Sciences RN, RRT, RPH, ARNP, PA, CPA. Relevant healthcare (hospital/medical center/integrated delivery system) experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

Certification/Licensure Requirements: Relevant Epic Certification(s) to be obtained. Completion required as defined in Epic Implementation Timeline. Existing Epic Certification(s) in relevant application preferred.

Experience Requirements: 3 years required in progressive healthcare industry experience preferably in an Integrated Delivery Network in clinical care, operations or IT system support. 3 Years preferred in clinical experience in one or more of the following areas: OR, Anesthesia, Emergency, Pharmacy, Oncology, OB/GYN, or IT experience in CPOE, Clinical Documentation OR healthcare operations experience such as billing, scheduling, access services, health information management (HIM) OR in-depth knowledge of ambulatory physician and back office nursing and specialty department clinical documentation workflows, care planning, and patient education. 5 Years preferred in progressive healthcare (Integrated Delivery System) experience in clinical or operations setting, IT system development or deployment, experience as a clinical analyst, business analyst, systems or financial analyst. 1-3 Years Preferred with hands-on Epic clinical systems experience with appropriate Epic Training / certifications in at least one application area.

Food & Nutrition Services Systems Analyst (Added 2 days ago) (Newport News, Va)

Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA is currently seeking a full-time Food & Nutrition Services Systems Analyst.

Job Summary: Reports to the System Director of Nutrition Services for Riverside Health System. Works independently to support the dietary applications on multiple platforms. Job duties include all aspects of application support, analysis and reporting. The duties require good communication skills at all levels of the health system to include each Facility Administrator and other executive levels. Must have the ability to collaborate with multiple arms of nutrition services as well as strong understanding of food operations and have strong technical and project management skills. Will work closely with IS, Finance, and Supply Chain Management. The job requires an ability to quickly learn and understand the customer business needs and processes. A nutrition services background is preferred with experience in implementing food systems or other IT systems. The duties include analyzing data, data manipulation, programming, maintaining application tables and profiles, developing and executing test plans, reporting, and documentation. Will be responsible for the maintenance of POS, clinical nutrition systems, inventory management, production management and other systems as assigned. In addition to these skills the job requires the ability to make sure all applications are backed up regularly and have minimal downtime. The job requires the ability to work well with all team members and customers in the health system to include travel to off-site locations.

Education: BS degree required, Registered Dietician preferred, IT experience preferred.

Experience: At least 3 years experience in Computers/Information Technology - Database Analyst, strong technical and analytical skills that are essential to support application on multiple platforms. Telecom Engineer III (Newport News, Va)

Job Summary: Reports to the Telecommunication Manager. Job Duties include: Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprisewide voice technologies. This includes phone systems, voice mail applications, unified communications, CTI and call center applications, along with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of communications hardware and voice circuits as well as project management of telecom initiatives and support of peripheral systems.

Education: Bachelor's degree in communications engineering, electrical engineering, or related field is strongly preferred.

Certifications: Must possess at least 3 of the following certifications: Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist, Avaya Certified support Specialist, or Avaya Certified Solutions Specialist in the areas of CallPilot, CS1000, Call Center, Messaging, Session Manager, Contact Center, equivalent Telecom/Nortel, or Cisco Certifications.

Experience/ Responsibilities:

Must have 10 years of relevant telecommunications experience or 15 years of general experience.
