In a statewide report released this month by Virginia Health Information, patients rated Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg as the top hospital in the state for patient satisfaction, exceeding state and national averages by double digit percentages.
Score data was sourced from a Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey conducted in 2017 by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
“We are extremely proud of these results as it comes directly from the patients we care for and reflects the teamwork and high-quality care provided at Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg,” said Adria Vanhoozier, Vice President/Administrator of the hospital. “It also underscores our team’s unwavering commitment to the Riverside Health mission of caring for others as we would care for those we love.”

In the latest patient satisfaction survey report, Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg received the highest scores of any facility in the state on both questions asked of survey respondents, including how they rate their hospital stay overall and if they would recommend the facility to others.
Some 85 percent of respondents gave Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg the highest rating of a nine or 10 on a 10-point scale. An even greater number – 87 percent – of respondents gave the hospital their highest recommendation – “yes, definitely” – when asked if they would suggest the hospital to others.
It was also the second year in a row that Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg scored higher than 80 percent on both survey questions.
“Across every department at Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg are teams of professionals that have a true passion for world-class service and patient care, and these survey findings confirm precisely that,” said Dr. James W.
