Riverside Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce it has achieved Pathway to Excellence® redesignation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
The Pathway to Excellence redesignation identifies the elements of work environments where nurses can flourish. The redesignation substantiates the professional satisfaction of nurses at Riverside Regional Medical Center and identifies it as one of the best places to work.
Riverside Regional Medical Center's Nurse Executive, Candi Carroll, MBA, BSN, RN: "We are so excited to announce our redesignation status; an elite achievement shared by only 141 Hospitals nationally. At Riverside Regional Medical Center, we pride ourselves on being a great place to work, where the patient is truly at the core of what we focus on each and every day. Our front-line nurses and nursing leadership team are deeply committed to the delivery of safe, quality, compassionate care and living our mission statement: caring for others as we could care for those we love. Receiving the Pathway to Excellence redesignation is a reflection of our positive organizational and nursing culture, a special touch we call 'The Riverside Care Difference'. "
The Pathway to Excellence redesignation is granted based on the confirmed presence of characteristics known as "The Pathway to Excellence Criteria." For an organization to earn the Pathway to Excellence distinction, it must successfully undergo a thorough review process that documents foundational quality initiatives in creating a positive work environment —as defined by nurses and supported by research. These initiatives must be present in the facility's practices, policies, and culture. Nurses in the organization verify the presence of the criteria in the organization through participation in a completely confidential online survey.
As a Pathway to Excellence® redesignated organization, Riverside Regional Medical Center is committed to nurses, to what nurses identify as important to their practice, and to valuing nurses' contributions in the workplace. This redesignation confirms to the public that nurses working at Riverside Regional Medical Center know their efforts are supported. The honor encourages other nurses to join their colleagues in this desirable and nurturing environment.
The Pathway to Excellence redesignation is perfectly suited to small and medium-sized healthcare organizations, but is attainable by all healthcare facilities around the world.
