We Need Your Help to Keep the Help Fund Growing
The future of the Help Fund depends on us helping one another by making donations to help it grow. You have several ways you can contribute to the Help Fund:
- give a direct donation by cash, check or money order;
- give through payroll deduction;
- donate online and select the Help Fund.
To ensure that we follow your wishes regarding receipts or acknowledgements, please complete our Donor form:
A group of Riverside team members reviews applications and determines those that qualify for Help Fund grants or assistance.
The Riverside Foundation administers the Help Fund for Riverside Team Members, in order to provide donors with the greatest tax advantages.
The Riverside Health System Employees' Credit Union plays an instrumental role in administering the financial assistance programs.
Every Gift Counts
Please make checks or money orders payable to the Riverside Foundation – Help Fund. We appreciate each and every gift, regardless of size.
The Help Fund for Riverside Team Members is an assistance program to help our Riverside employees who experience a disaster or personal loss through no fault of their own. Since it began in 2008, the Help Fund has helped more than 800 of our team members.
As the year draws to a close and you make your decisions regarding end-of-year charitable giving, please consider a donation to help members of the Riverside family. A donation to the Help Fund is a wonderful way to honor a co-worker or friend, especially on those special occasions like holidays, birthdays or anniversaries.
How the Help Fund Can Help
When something unexpected happens, it can result in financial hardship: funeral expenses when a family member dies unexpectedly… the costs of repair after a house fire or hurricane… emergency shelter needs as a result of a sudden domestic violence situation. The Help Fund is a way Riverside team members can help one another through disastrous events.
The Help Fund now offers two types of employee financial assistance. This allows the Help Fund to serve a greater number of team members who may be experiencing financial hardship.
- Help Fund Grant - This fund may be available to you to assist with catastrophic events that have occurred through no fault of your own. These could include, but are not limited to, house fire, flood or death of an immediate family member.
- Help Fund Financial Assistance - This assistance may be available to you based on your personal financial need to assist you with your basic living expenses. This assistance is available to you one time per year. You must be employed for a minimum of one (1) year to qualify for Financial Assistance.
Help Fund Guidelines
You must be an active Riverside Health System team member to apply for funds. This includes full-time, part-time and labor pool employees. A team member’s personal financial need, length of service and employment status are all considered in funding decisions. You must be employed for a minimum of one (1) year to qualify for Financial Assistance. Riverside Human Resources representatives have complete guidelines.
