Job Summary: The role integrates clinical, computer, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom to ensure that the clinical requirements of clinical practice/process are clearly integrated into the clinical application systems. The role is responsible for representing and facilitating support of clinical practice when participating in the planning, development, coordination of training, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of clinical information systems. Actively participates in the development, prioritization, and determination of core clinical decision-support systems by working with end-users and the team to develop system programming requirements while understanding system capabilities and limitations. Identifies system or application issues, makes recommendations for, and implements solutions. Collaborates with other health care technology and clinical leaders to ensure that clinical-related systems support interoperability and transportability of clinical information while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. The role is responsible for facilitating communication from the clinical end users across the patient care areas while working collaboratively and directly with system teams, system vendors, and technical experts. The role works to optimize the clinical design to meet the needs of a large group of interdisciplinary end users, including physicians, nurses, ancillary, clinical, and administrative staff. The role participates on clinical application workgroups/teams, and process improvement initiatives. Promotes teamwork through appropriate deployment of process, technical, and human resources in collaboration with Departmental, Regional, and Health System leaders and project managers. Educational Requirements: Masters Degree Nursing/Informatics or related field of study. Graduation from an accredited college with current licensure as a Registered Nurse preferred.

Certification/Licensure Requirements: ANCC Informatics Nursing Certification or Certification in related field of study.

Experience Requirements: Minimum of three years working in direct care in an acute care setting. Must demonstrate proficiency using the computer-enhanced patient care. Strong organizational, project management, team building and excellent customer service skills.

Epic Applications Analyst (Newport News, Va)

Riverside Health System, located in Newport News, Virginia, is seeking to hireFull-time Epic Application Analyst(s). We're looking for team members with clinical and service expertise to support modules in our new EHR and revenue management system (iCare). We are looking for certified candidates, preferably with Epic Cadence (Scheduling) and/or Referrals background to support our build. If you have other certifications, we encourage you to apply for consideration for this position or others that may become available. If you already work for RHS and you are selected to be part of this team, Riverside will provide the training and education to become Epic certified.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinates all issues that arise during the project for their respective application, and must be knowledgeable about RHS policies, procedures and business operations

Works closely with other Epic application analysts, project managers, trainers to translate clinical and business needs into EMR functionality in a manner consistent with project timelines and budgets.

Participates as part of a team in system configuration, on-going maintenance / process improvement, change documentation, and training staff on application functionality.

Job Summary: Reports to the Telecommunications Manager. Job Duties include: Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting telecom architectures, phone switches, voicemail, and associated systems. Functions as a high level support resource for the Information Systems Department. Responsible for the high-level design of our telecom architecture, level three telecom support, system training, and mentoring of the telecom team. Performs other duties, as assigned.
