Riverside Health System located in Newport News, Virginia is seeking to hire multiple full time Epic Application Analyst(s). These analyst positions will cover various Epic Applications such as EpicCare Inpatient ( Multiple positions across ED, L&D, Nursing Documentation, CPOE and Pharmacy), Ancillary Applications (Multiple positions across OR, Anesthesia, Oncology), EpicCare Ambulatory (Multiple positions covering Physician Practices, My Chart, Mobile Applications ) and Epic Revenue Cycle / Patient access (Multiple Positions). We are looking for energetic team members with backgrounds in these areas to join the team. A background in Information Technology is beneficial, but not required. Specific application assignment will be determined during the application/ interview process based on team members interests and experience, and needs of the Epic project team. Responsibilities include: Coordinates all issues that arise during the project for their respective application, and must be knowledgeable about RHS policies, procedures and business operations Works closely with other Epic application analysts, project managers, trainers to translate clinical and business needs into EMR functionality in a manner consistent with project timelines and budgets. Participates as part of a team in system configuration, on-going maintenance / process improvement, change documentation, and training staff on application functionality. Works independently in completing project task as part of the project implementation, including building / testing of system components, documentation of workflows, building of data sets, master files and reports, performs quality assurance and integrated testing on new releases / upgrades. Develops report specifications and works closely with report writers to ensure operational and regulatory reporting needs are met including reports necessary to comply with Federal and Regulatory requirements (Meaningful Use, CMS Sore Measures, etc.) Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree required or 8+ years of progressive healthcare experience. Program of study in Health Care Administration, Clinical Information Systems. Informatics, Information Technology or Sciences; RN, RRT, RPH, ARNP, PA, CPA. Relevant healthcare (hospital/medical center/integrated delivery system) experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Certification/Licensure Requirements Relevant Epic Certification(s) to be obtained. Completion required as defined in Epic Implementation Timeline. Existing Epic Certification(s) in relevant application preferred. Experience Must have 3 years of experience in progressive healthcare industry preferably in an integrated delivery network in clinical care, operations or IT system support. Prefer 3 years of clinical experience in one or more of the following areas: OR, Anesthesia, Emergency, Pharmacy, Oncology, OB/GYN, or IT experience in CPOE, Clinical Documentation OR healthcare operations experience such as billing, scheduling, access services, health information management (HIM) or in-depth knowledge of ambulatory physician and back office nursing and specialty department clinical documentation workflows, care planning, and patient education. Prefer 5 years of experience in progressive healthcare (Integrated Delivery System) experience in clinical or operations setting, IT system development or deployment, experience as a clinical analyst, business analyst systems or financial analyst. These training positions will work alongside the Epic Application Analysts to develop the training for the various clinical and business applications such as EpicCare Inpatient, Ancillary Applications, EpicCare Ambulatory and Epic Revenue Cycle / Patient access. We are looking for energetic team members with backgrounds in these areas or training to join the team. Responsibilities include: Coordinating the development, implementation and evaluation of training materials for end user training including classroom training, webinar events, and any specialized / role based training requirements. Developing a training plan for the project team and project leadership that outlines the intent and delivery method of training in preparation for go live and post go live sustainment. Securing and scheduling appropriate training facilities and resources; identifying users who need to be trained, and ensuring successful training for users prior to gaining access to the production system. Communicating with Project and System Leadership regarding training status, including timely escalation of any training issues that cannot be quickly resolved at the team level. Overseeing the training schedules, agendas, course materials, job aids, and post training competencies. Participating in the preparation of application test scripts, integrated test scripts, and regression test scripts for the appropriate application that meet end user needs. Oncology Sr. Systems Analyst
Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the Director of Radiation Oncology Services and the Practice Director of Riverside Cancer Infusion Centers (RCIC). Directly provides technical support for the operations, development, and implementation of application software and maintenance for Oncology IT electronic operating systems and applicable work flow applications/processes across the RHS system including Peninsula, Southside and Shore. Performs software installations and upgrades as well as interfaces/integration to these products and all layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established vendor and IT policies and procedures. Acts as a liaison with RHS Information Systems. Has a high level of technical expertise and ability to work corroboratively in support of system IT and Oncology IT goals. Continual responsibility for application software in support of critical operations in Oncology across all RHS sites. Assume responsibility for designated Oncology IT projects. Complies with patient safety goals and HIPAA guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: 4 year degree preferred, Industry Certifications preferred (Cisco, Vmware, Microsoft, EMC, etc. ) Experience: Requires 3+ years experience with IT systems planning and management (3+ years). Functional knowledge of IT network operation design and management of data backup and disaster recovery. Experience with databases, programming in SQL, support of oncology information systems, and familiarity with HL7 preferred.
