AIDE REHAB

A Rehab Aide is required to be flexible with daily scheduling and must be able to transition from the inpatient to outpatient setting. A Rehab Aide works under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or assistant, the Rehab Services Manager, and ultimately responsible to the Rehab Services Director. A Rehab Aide assists a licensed therapist in the provision of physical therapy, speech therapy, and/or occupational therapy treatments in accordance with state practice and professional guidelines. This position may also perform other assigned duties. A Rehab Aide must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assist in providing age, goal, and diagnosis appropriate care. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development throughout the life span, and be able to interpret information to identify age-specific needs and provide appropriate care accordingly. This position must also be able to follow and adhere to the practices described in the Departmental Policy and Procedure Manual.

JOB SUMMARY: Provides materials management support for key Supply Chain activities and initiatives including receiving, warehouse, logistics and inventory management for the Riverside Health System. This position performs a wide range of duties as directed by the Supply Chain Management Coordinator/Supervisor necessary to coordinate purchasing, replenishment of stock supplies and inventory management for RHS. This individual will: Key and fill departmental requisitions/picklist/exchange carts daily. Pull and deliver material to the requesting user/department. Receive items into Lawson with special emphasis on stock items as priority. Validate items delivered against the worksheet/packing slip and Lawson. Break down stock into unit of issue and place items in proper storage area/par closet in a "FIFO" method. Extract critical reports and replenish all PARs with needed supplies from PAR Excellence Computer. Count and replenish PARs using handheld computer. Utilize the Lawson Materials Management Information System to key, extract information and print documents. Conduct periodic cycle counts with assistance from other Supply Chain Management staff. Record stock out/low level product situations as designated within storeroom. Pick and fill over the counter and departmental requisitions accurately. Fully cross train in all areas of the distribution process for the OR Storeroom, Central distribution and act as a backup when needed. Assist in other areas of Supply Chain Management as required and performs other assigned tasks as needed.
