CSA/Unit Secretary

Riverside Regional Medical Center is seeking a part time Customer Service Associate/Unit Secretary.

Job Summary: This position works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Coordinator/Nurse Manager. The Unit Secretary/CSA is responsible for customer service, chart management, retrieval of reports, and patient care duties in addition to: assist with dressing changes, vital signs, EKGs, and INT removal. Energy Plant Operator

JOB SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Facilities Engineering Department Management. Operates and performs maintenance on boilers and other related equipment necessary for producing power and heat for the hospital. Troubleshoots failures and performs corrective maintenance on energy plant equipment and systems. Stops, starts and switches over boilers as directed. Monitors a multitude of gauges and meters and contacts the appropriate personnel when readings reach an unsafe level. Cleans and performs maintenance of boilers by blowing out tubes to eliminate sediment, regulates feed water and condensation pumps, lubricates pump equipment as appropriate. Ensures that a preventative maintenance schedule is in effect, and that it is followed on a continual basis. Cleans and paints the boiler room as necessary. Lubricates all the appropriate parts of the boiler regularly to ensure that it is functioning in the proper fashion. Repairs and/or replaces damaged or dangerously worn parts. Documents all repairs and any other pertinent information in the record. Utilizes established techniques to test samples from the boiler and cooling tower and documents the results in a log. Chemically treats the boiler and cooling waters utilizing established procedures. Reports equipment that needs major repairs or cause unsafe conditions in the hospital to the Supervisor. Periodically inspects the hospital to ensure the proper operation of heating, air conditioning and ventilation as well as related equipment such as vacuum pumps and air compressors.

EDUCATION: High School graduate or GED equivalent preferred. Training in boiler room operating techniques and related activities.

EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in boiler room operations preferred. Ability to operate a computer and use computer software.

The Supply Chain Management Coordinator position provides direction and leadership for key Supply Chain activities and initiatives including receiving, warehouse, logistics and inventory management for the Riverside Health System. Provide MMIS computer entry of all stock issues, transfers and receipts. Conducts periodic cycle counts with assistance from other Supply Chain Management staff. Interfaces with Accounts Payable department in reconciling purchase orders and vendor invoices as it relates to over-shipments and duplicate shipments. Pick and fill over the counter and departmental requisitions accurately. Maintain Par Ex system including par replenishment, stock level adjustments, item adds, new buttons and labels, and reporting for Nurse Managers. Responsible for the productivity of workers, reporting any and all deficiencies to the attention of his/her manager/Supervisor. Ensure all attendants follow established policies and procedures when processing goods received and distributed. During vacation, holiday or sick time, performs all duties of the Distribution/Receiving Attendant in maintaining the storeroom and par closets. Assists the Clinical Resource Manager and the Systems Analyst with special projects to promote the overall efficiencies of the storeroom to ensure quality patient care.
